Econo Foods Is Hiring Delivery Drivers in Edenvale

Econo Foods, one of South Africa’s leading frozen food retailers, is looking for experienced and reliable Delivery Drivers to join its logistics team in Edenvale. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with a valid Code 10 or Code 14 driver’s licence and PDP who are passionate about customer service, road safety, and efficient deliveries.

Job Purpose

The successful candidates will be responsible for safely operating delivery vehicles, conducting vehicle inspections, delivering products accurately and on time, maintaining delivery records, and ensuring compliance with all safety and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport and deliver products to customers according to scheduled routes.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
• Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, delivery receipts, and incidents.
• Ensure all delivery documentation is completed correctly and submitted on time.
• Report vehicle defects, maintenance issues, or breakdowns immediately.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant delivery vehicle.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service during deliveries.
• Attend training sessions, meetings, and coaching programmes when required.
• Support operational goals and contribute to overall team performance.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Valid Code 10 or Code 14 (EC) driver’s licence.
• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
• Minimum of 3–5 years’ driving experience.
• Experience in the FMCG, logistics, transport, or retail industry will be advantageous.
